From house clearance, DIY projects to garden landscaping. A domestic skip can be hired nationwide from Talking Rubbish for the disposal of all your waste.
A domestic skip can be filled with household furniture, wood, metal, glass, soil, plastic and garden waste which can avoid the unwanted hassle of trips to local authority sites.
Should you not have a driveway to have the skip placed, we can apply for a Skip Licence for you so that it can be placed on the public highway.
Commercial Skip Hire
Talking Rubbish offers commercial skip hire for all sectors of the construction and demolition industry as well as for site clearances and landscaping projects.
A commercial skip can be filled with concrete, hardcore, soil, wood, metal glass and plastic.
Plasterboard has toxic properties so must be removed from general waste by law. We will accept plasterboard in the skips if it is less than 10%, however, this will have to be agreed on booking, bagged and placed on top of the skip. If there is more than 10% plasterboard, a separate skip will be needed for plasterboard only.

Your skip should be in a convenient location for easy filling. There are guidelines we must follow;
- We cannot put skips in locations that require our lorry to cross any grass areas.
- Our lorries need dropped kerbs to access all sites.
- We cannot place skips on council-owned land or on footpaths. Your skip can, however be placed on a public highway.
- You should not put a skip on soft ground, uneven ground, or ground with block or slab paving.
You should not fill higher than the sides of the skip and the contents should be level. This enables us to transport the skip safely and in accordance with all road laws.

By law, if your skip will be located on a public highway then you will need a skip license or permit, along with lights while it is dark.
