The cost of skip hire depends on the size of skip and your location.
The contents of the skip can impact the price too as there are some items that are not regarded as general waste so may incur additional recycling charges. This includes mattresses and hazardous waste.
Your skip should be in a convenient location for easy filling. There are guidelines we must follow;
- We cannot put skips in locations that require our lorry to cross any grass areas.
- Our lorries need dropped kerbs to access all sites.
- We cannot place skips on council-owned land or on footpaths. Your skip can, however be placed on a public highway.
- You should not put a skip on soft ground, uneven ground, or ground with block or slab paving.
You should not fill higher than the sides of the skip and the contents should be level. This enables us to transport the skip safely and in accordance with all road laws.
Talking rubbish will normally allow the hire of the skip for up to two weeks.
If you require the skip for longer, please speak to a member of our team who will try to accommodate you.
