SKIP HIRE

SKIP PERMITS / SKIP LICENCES

If you do not have a driveway to place your skip on, Talking Rubbish can apply for a Skip Permit / Licence from your local council so that you are lawfully allowed to have the skip sited on the ‘Public Highway’.

Skip permits can be quite costly and vary on the price immensely, especially if the skip is being placed in a parking bay.

Skip permits can also take a time to obtain, with some local councils requiring up to two weeks notice, therefore you will need to plan ahead.

Talking Rubbish can give you advice as to whether you need a permit, and if so, can apply for you so you avoid the worry and the hassle.

If the skip is to be placed on the public highway overnight, don’t forget that the skip will need to have lights as a legal requirement. You can buy these or hire these from your local builder’s merchant, or a tool hire shop.

If budget, space or time is an issue, you can use our rubbish clearance vehicle’s wait & load services.
